Choose an output

AZW3 or MOBI?

Both are Kindle-friendly formats. Choose once in PagePop Settings before PagePop prepares an EPUB or TXT file.

AZW3
The default choice for newer Kindle models. It supports richer modern formatting and PagePop’s optional embedded publisher-font setting.
MOBI
A compatibility option for older Kindle models. Try MOBI if an older device cannot open the AZW3 result.
Already AZW3 or MOBI?
PagePop can import these formats directly, so they normally do not need EPUB conversion before transfer.

Step by step

Prepare the book on your device.

  1. 01

Start with a DRM-free EPUB or TXT file

Use a file that you own or are authorized to use. PagePop does not remove or bypass DRM, and PDF is not a supported conversion source.

  2. 02

Choose AZW3 or MOBI in PagePop Settings

Open PagePop Settings and select the output format you want. AZW3 is the default; MOBI is useful when compatibility with an older Kindle matters more.

  3. 03

Import the file and review its details

Add the EPUB or TXT file from Files or another app. Review the title, author, and cover so the finished book is easy to recognize in your Kindle library.

  4. 04

Decide how EPUB publisher fonts should behave

For AZW3 output, PagePop can preserve valid embedded publisher fonts when available. Turn that setting off when you prefer to choose fonts on Kindle instead.

  5. 05

Let PagePop finish, then transfer the result

Keep PagePop open while the book is being prepared. When it is ready, start the local file service and download the finished AZW3 or MOBI file from the Kindle browser.

Conversion questions
