About EPUB
PagePop prepares EPUB before Kindle downloads it.
When you import a DRM-free EPUB, PagePop converts it locally to AZW3 or MOBI. The Kindle browser downloads that prepared file—not the original EPUB.
This route is separate from Amazon’s cloud-based Send to Kindle service. PagePop uses a temporary address on your local network, so it does not require a Kindle email address and does not add the book to Amazon’s cloud library.

Step by step
A local route for your book.
-
01
Import the ebook into PagePop
Open PagePop, tap Add Book, and choose the file from Files or another app. You can import several books into the PagePop bookshelf at once.
-
02
Prepare the book if needed
MOBI, AZW, and AZW3 files can be made available directly. For EPUB or TXT, choose AZW3 or MOBI as the output format and let PagePop convert the file locally.
-
03
Connect both devices to one network
Connect the iPhone or iPad and Kindle to the same Wi-Fi. If Wi-Fi is not available, enable Personal Hotspot on the iPhone and connect Kindle to it.
-
04
Start PagePop’s file service
On the PagePop Home screen, start the file service. Grant Local Network permission if iOS asks. PagePop will show an address similar to http://192.168.x.x:port.
-
05
Open the address on Kindle and download
Open the Kindle web browser, type the exact PagePop address, and open it. Choose a book from the list, then tap Download.
Troubleshooting
If the page will not open.
Check these in order:
- Both devices show the same Wi-Fi network name.
- Local Network access is enabled for PagePop in iOS Settings.
- PagePop is open and the file service says it is running.
- The full address, including the port number, was entered correctly.
- A VPN or router setting is not blocking local-device communication.
- After changing networks, the PagePop service was restarted.
